### About the Course

This course covers three topics (see the [Syllabus — Spring 2026](<https://equal-rondeletia-eec.notion.site/Syllabus-Spring-2026-2c70f068eb468198be7ee282f06dbf1e>) for full details):

- Generative AI Technology
- AI Applications in Business
- The AI Industry

This course aims to teach principles that will help students navigate AI’s evolving landscape and unlock its astounding potential in any organization they work at in the future.

Spring 2026 is the second time this course is being offered. As such, and due to the evolving nature of the subject matter, the course plan may change throughout the semester.

### About the Instructor

I am an applied economist that studies firm innovation, largely focused on the AI industry. See [my academic website](<https://sites.google.com/view/danielyue>) for more details — I am always happy to chat about my research.

This is my second year teaching at Georgia Tech, and I’m delighted to be here. Previously, I received my PhD from Harvard Business School, worked as a product manager at Mastercard (in Washington DC), and did my undergrad at Harvard (Physics). I am from Baltimore, Maryland, and live in Brookhaven with my wife and baby daughter (born November 2024). I enjoy following Baltimore sports teams and learning new things with help from Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini!
